Otago PENinsula ARTists
Graham Geary is an accomplished artist, defining his work mostly with acrylic narrative paintings, and more recently, intricate pen and ink line drawings of native birds, usually hand colourised (but not always).
Now retired and working from my home studio, I relocated to Dunedin in 1993, after 30 years as an Art Director in Auckland. In my role as Art Director in the Advertising industry I came into regular contact with professional photographers and artists, whom I contracted to work for our company clients. This collaboration, particularly with artists, created a desire to learn to paint professionally and to expand my creativity on reaching retirement age.
A few years after returning to Dunedin, I took the opportunity to attend the Adult Visual Art Course held at ‘King’s’, my old high school, from which I have been greatly rewarded. My experience now allows me to confidently offer work for exhibition, and for sale.
I consider the Otago Peninsula an inspirational location and have been domiciled here with my family since 1996. Please feel free to contact me for any additional information.
